About HitungKerusi
hitung kerusi (Malay) — count the chairs.
HitungKerusi is an independent forecast of Malaysia's elections. It seats the Dewan Rakyat's 222 chairs and five state assemblies by simulating each election 10,000 times from layers of evidence: decades of electoral history, by-election swings, published opinion polls, and a weekly reading of campaign news.
Everything on this site is a model estimate, not a certainty — the intervals and probabilities are the honest width of what the evidence supports. The arithmetic on the seat maps decides which coalitions could govern; that is not an endorsement of any of them.
